The CR Spirits Professional Dance Team was at the OC Fair in California on Saturday, August 7th and now one week later, the Iowa State Fair on Saturday, August 14th! Let It Rock!
We must say it was extremely hot that day but on a positive note there was no rain. Every year the students in the Spirit Studio are invited to join in at this performance but with it being a distance from Cedar Rapids and every-one’s busy schedules it is hard to get everyone to attend.
Right before the performance Tiffany, Crystal, Courtney, and Cassidy got ready in the Spirit Van…actually put the air conditioning on and cooled off…
Here are some fun poses with their coaches of the Itty-Bitty, Tiny, Li’l, & Junior Spirit Teams!
There was a huge huge crowd at the Iowa State Fair and really every year the crowd continues to grow. We love meeting new fans and enjoy every-one’s feedback and music ideas. Keep them coming…
The start of this 50 minute Spirit Show begins with the CR Spirits Professional Dance Team!
The Spirit Show then goes into the Itty-Bitty Spirits ages 4 to 6.
Next is the Tiny Spirits ages 7 to 9!
Next part of the Spirit Show, is the Li’l Spirits ages 10 to 12!
Next is the Junior Spirits ages 13 to 16!
Now back to the one and only CR Spirits Professional Dance Team!
Now the last part of the Spirit Show is something new! Crystal Kuehl which is Tiffany’s daughter is going to be trying out for the Professional Team in September and we asked the crowd at the Iowa State Fair if they thought Crystal could keep up…We must say they were pretty positive responses, so Good Luck Crystal!
The CR Spirits Professional Dance Team passed out and autographed many many posters and book-markers hope everyone got one that wanted one!
Looking forward to next years Iowa State Fair….Thank You Tonya Cook!
Now before the Spirits headed to Des Moines for the Iowa State Fair…the Spirits first had a Friday night performance at the St. Jude’s SweetCorn Festival. Always a huge supportive crowd at that event! Here are the groups getting warmed up!
While the teams are warming up we took some photos of our Biggest Fans! We think these guys are at every event!
This photo is Emily’s daughter Raley! She is definitely a fan or at least a fan of her Spirit Mom. Actually, this is one of Emily’s last performances for she will be hoping to extend her family soon so she will not be trying out for the Professional Team next year!
Here is one of Tiffany’s fans…Peyton.
Heather, Tiffany, & Shannon getting ready to start the Spirit Show!
After the performance…one last photo of some of the performers!
Superfun Times!
Spirits in California!

The CR Spirits Professional Dance Team is off to California. It was a Thursday at 3:00am, when we were heading to the Des Moines Airport. We were excited and looking forward to new adventures on our journey with each other. It is more than a Professional Dance Team and over the years I, Tiffany Kuehl have slowly learned that.
Waiting for our next flight…
I always seem pretty lucky on airplanes on sitting next to someone who is friendly. Gavin is a producer and was on his way to do some producing with some new upcoming talent for Capital Records. I need to take a moment and Thank Gavin for the invite to the Sandpiper in Laguna! It was nice to walk into the Sandpiper with our names already on a list. We felt welcomed but we were so exhausted that we just needed some sleep. Hey Gavin, send me some fresh music, something with a good hook! Keep in touch!
We arrived in California safely at the John Wayne Airport in Orange County. John looks pretty good with the Spirits, wouldn’t ya say?
After arriving in California we headed to Newport Beach for some lunch!

Friday morning we had breakfast at the Sugar Shack Cafe in Huntington Beach California, right on main street! The atmosphere was fun, the service was perfect, and the food was delicious!
In Huntington Beach that week was the US Open of Surfing. We had no idea that this event was taking place but it sure made for a great weekend! There were so many people. The photo below is some of the Professional Surfers that we got to meet! Thanks for the autographs, photos, and memories!
It seems where ever the Professional Dance Team goes we always have to get our photos taken with the police, fire department, and/or security…it makes us feel safe! The Huntington Beach Police Officers were definitely on duty that week! They protect well and look good doing it.
We did a little Shaka Laka lip balm video commercial…you should check it out this stuff ROCKS! www.ShakaLaka.com
The CR Spirits Professional Dance Team at the US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach California! Kaitlin Boyse, Marie Verhelst, Tiffany Kuehl, Deatra Waller, Paulette Petersen, Amy Kuehl, and Rachel Bowser!
This is one photo from our Friday night. After being at the Beach all day in Huntington we decided to catch some dinner around 5pm. We never left this place until almost close….If you ever get to Huntington Beach check out Hurricanes Bar & Grill….That was a night to remember And I don’t think they will forget the CR Spirits Professional Dance Team!
On Saturday, the morning before our big show, we stopped for breakfast and ran into the Costa Mesa Fire Department! Thanks for the photos guys! It was a pleasure to meet all of you!
Well here we are at the OC Fair in Costa Mesa! What does that sign say…
1:20 CR Spirits Dance Company! How exciting!
Look who showed up to see us perform but Tiffany Dueker! It was great to see her smile, hear her laugh and meet her new friends. Thanks for all the support Tiffany!
Performance Time!
After the performance we needed a little break and met a gentlemen named Edward Delabar he is with TotalDishPlus. He says he is the Dish King…SO I must be the Dancing Queen!
I liked this radio station!
Weird Al…that’s right….just think we were his back up dancers for two of his concerts. He sure had gotten taller than I remember.
Tiffany Kuehl, Paulette Petersen, Marie Verhelst, Kaitlin Boyse, Deatra Waller, Rachel Bowser, and Amy Kuehl at the OC Fair in Costa Mesa after the Spirits Performance!
At the OC Fair Corn Star claimed to have the best corn around…Since The Spirits are from Iowa we felt that we should taste it just to make sure there was some truth in that…you will have to ask Deatra or I what we thought…However we must say we loved their Company Shirts!
Fun Fair Photos!
The Spirits went to the Maloof Money Cup that was taking place at the OC Fair. I got the pleasure to sit next to a gentlemen name Solomon Mosely. Solomon if you do not know is a Professional Skateboarder. I am so Thankful that I sat next to him, he let me know everything that was going on.
Solomon told me to go get my photo taken with Chris Cole, so I ran up to him, asked for a photo, as you can see no problem…And get this…He won! Chris Cole won the championship…Thanks Solomon for all the info that day!
Love this photo….You know what we are getting ready to see at the Maloof Money Cup?
LUDACRIS! That is right, Ludacris put on a concert at the Maloof Money Cup!
Ludacris who? Lots of people were filming the Spirits that day not just Ludacris!
Amy and Kaitlin had never been to the Rainforest Cafe…WOW they have to be knocking a lot of things off their Bucket List this weekend.
The next day we went to Crystal Cove State Park. We wanted to see some Tide Pools but really we just got a lot of fun memorable pictures. What a great trip!
After Crystal Cove we headed off to Laguna for Lunch before heading back to Huntington Beach!
Where Paulette & I ate….Perfect Place! Thanks for lunch Paulette.
Where the other girls ate…Pizza Schmizza.
Back to Huntington Beach!
Spirits meet Gumby.
Deatra meets her long time idol…and couldn’t speak…Chuck Liddell.
Tiffany finds her headband and quits pouting! Who would of thought that Shoestrings would be such a hit there!
Our dinner at Duke’s in Huntington Beach was fun yet sad because we knew we were leaving the next morning. However Scott Graham of Xtreme Personal Assistant Concierge Services made our last dinner a nice experience! Thanks Scott!
Now who is pouting and does not want to go home…
I have to say as I have grown older I have realized that this team is not just a business. It has been not only a blessing to me but to the women that belong to this organization. We may come together because we love to dance but it is a group that together builds confidence, support each other…which makes a -one of a kind-Professional Dance Team! Thank You for all the Memories!

Great Jones County Fair

Well, I must say the Flood sure brought some devastating issues for the fair and the surrounding communities, however, the CR Spirits still performed for the people who did venture out to support the Great Jones County Fair!
Jones County has a reputation of putting on a GREAT FAIR. John Harmes wants the fair to be one that no one will ever forget and this year I believe, with help from nature, it will be a year that everyone will talk about.
Kaitlin, Amy & I were in shock to see the New Stage at the Fair almost under water. You know, the CR Spirits Professional Dance Team were the 1st to perform on that stage!
Hey, Kevin Railsback is that a Bear in our photo? See we are not afraid of all Bears! Kevin loves the beauty of nature however, right now he is shooting the CR Spirits Professional Dance Team for a documentray &/or maybe even a reality show! Beauty of Nature or Spirit Beauties….hmmmmm.
The next photos are on the stage where there was NO Water!
National American Miss Pageant in Denver, CO!

While the CR Spirits Professional Dance Team & Studio were performing all over Cedar Rapids, Tiffany Kuehl was in Denver, CO for the National American Miss Pageant. If you remember, Tiffany was a judge for the NAM Pageant in Tulsa, OK last year. But this year, she was a Choreographer for the National American Miss.
Below is a photo of Tiffany and some National American Miss Queens. Tiffany was very excited to see Miss Oklahoma again. The last time she saw her she was getting crowned.
The event was held in the beautiful Marriott Denver Tech Center. Tiffany didn’t get to see Denver much, but enjoyed the view around her.
Nicole is an NFL Cheerleader and was Tiffany’s roommate for this event!
With National American Miss there are so many fun things that take place. One of the events for all the contestants is the 50′s Party! Fun games, great music, and Tiffany says, some outstanding dancing from the dad’s.
Tiffany, Nikki, Sheridan, and Randi choreographers for this Colorado Pageant!
Is that Sandy, that was in the movie ”Grease” or Miss Colorado?
Nicole Palmgren the beautiful woman in pink, is the one that has given Tiffany the opportunity to continue with more of the NAM Pageants.
Some more friends that Tiffany met in Denver, CO.

Tiffany and Leslie met up again at this event. Tiffany says she would like to come to New York now.
Robin Loeffel we heard you laughed all night with Tiffany. Great memories for both of you!
Thanks for all your help Spencer!
Allen showed Tiffany a little bit of Denver!

Tiffany was sad…she thought Billy wanted to be in a photo and was left out. One thing about the staff of National American Miss…it’s a family, you leave no one out!
Best of luck to the 2010 Miss Colorado Queens!

The Freedom Festival Parade was a hit! The CR Spirits Professional Dance Team & Studio had a wonderful time at this event. You could not ask for better weather!
The CR Spirits were with the Great Jones County Fair for this parade!
Tiffany Kuehl & John Harms
The studio teams smiled, waved & clapped throughout the parade. The Professional Team danced the whole time!
And afterwards they all needed shampoo!
The “Spirits Summer Dance Clinic” was held in Fairfax, for the ”Fairfax Fun Days”! The Professional Dance Team taught the girls a routine on Friday night and they were ready to perform on Saturday night right before the band the “Large Midgets”!
Now before the big performance was to take place the “Spirit Van” got stuck in the mud! That is right, the “Spirit Van” got stuck in the mud! Thank God some men came to Tiffany’s rescue! And if you look closely you can see some of the band members from “Large Midgets”! Thank You for helping Tiffany, it made her night! Tiffany’s words, “We owe them a FREE performance!”
Some pictures of the night!
June’s Spirit Girl of the Month! Congratulations Ava! Like Tiffany has said to you before, you have such a kind heart with beautiful manners…never change!
We are so proud of you! And you took the “Spirit Stick” everywhere!
Studio June Birthdays! Happy Birthday Girls! Hope you had a good one!

We sure have been performing! We have met so many Spirit fans, please don’t stop emailing! Here are just a couple of events below.
The Hog Wild Days Parade was a hit! The weather was perfect. John Harmes with the Great Jones County Fair is wonderful to work with. John and his staff make a great team. They are professional, organized, and they make sure everyone feels welcomed. Sounds like Tiffany and the CR Spirits!
We would also like to mention that we were the 1st to perform on the brand new, enormous size Jones County Fair stage! We don’t have any photos of this adventure but just knowing that we were the 1st means quite a bit to us! Would you like to know who the 2nd performer will be? Lady Antebellum on Thursday, July 22nd.
Crystal Kuehl our CR Tiny Spirits Coach just graduated! Congrats Crystal! Hope to see you at Auditions for the Professional Team in September!
Tiffany and Crystal Kuehl…I wonder if they dance alike?
Who else was at her party?
And at her Graduation Party the CR Tiny Spirits performed for her!
And then for this very large crowd…Crystal had a treat for them! The Professional Team was there ready to perform for her crowd.
Once the Professional Team was done performing…A guest dancer came out to join the Professional Team in one more number! Look closely at this photo…the girl in the middle is Crystal dancing with the Professional Team!
What a night! Hey did you girls get wet?

Want a Spirit Poster? Come into the studio and get our “New” CR Spirits Team Posters!
Some of Tiffany’s favorite professional team shots are below with her reasons why! It takes her hours to decide what she is looking for on her posters before the photos are even taken. Then after a fun photo shoot with Jon at Read Photography it’s another few hours of picking the photos. Next comes designing the posters and the credit goes to Mark Jacobson he is fast, he is good, and knows what Tiffany likes. Then off to J&A printing with Jennifer. The CR Spirits go through thousands of Posters a year, they are handed out freely to the public!
THE TIGER LOOK!
“It’s different, wild, and keeps one talking. It reminds me of a Kiss album, I love Kiss. I like that you are not sure who is who. And I must say, wait until you see the show with us wearing this make-up, it will take place in Vegas this year!”
SWIMSUITS!
“You know it is hard to get into your suit whether your a size 0 or a size 16. It’s even harder when you are standing next to a 21 year old and your 40. Matter of fact, the team had not all seen each other in a swimsuit before, so to have those uncertainties and then add a camera plus video camera on you at all times was very nerve racking. But I did my best to make everyone feel comfortable, I showed each woman their best assets, and then after the shot…I said we did it!”
“I am proud to say there are no touch ups in our posters! Everyone is beautiful in their own way! confidence is key!”
THE “ORIGINAL” SPIRITS!
“I love this photo. These two girls with me (Paulette & Deatra)…were the beginning of the CR Spirits. Without their support and others we would not be where we are today! We maybe be the older girls but with age, comes grace, confidence and sex appeal! Watch out crowd your only as old as you feel!”
Get this years poster/bookmarks at our next event and see even more photos!
Oprah’s Got Spirit?

Oh we hope Oprah gets a little Spirit in her future!
Please visit the link below and tell us what you think! If you smile vote once, if you laugh vote twice!
http://myown.oprah.com/audition/index.html?request=video_details&response_id=378&promo_id=1
A funny story…
Some of the Professional Dance Team Members had brought it to Tiffany Kuehl’s attention awhile ago about Oprah retiring from her show. First of all, Tiffany already knew the information and second, she had already checked it off her bucket list to go & watch a taping of the Oprah show. BUT with a smile on her face she told the team, Oprah probably owns her network and the POSITIVE Spirit Reality Show would someday be on her network…So Tiffany was not worried about her retiring, she would meet Oprah in her future.
However, Tiffany Kuehl & Kevin Railsback brainstormed on this adventure. They listened to each others ideas and what they hope to achieve from this journey. With that came this video. A show called Breaking the Cycle. Another outstanding job by Kevin Railsback who accomplished showing Tiffany Kuehl’s fun-loving personality in less than 3 minutes.
