Spirits Prom 2009 What A Night!

SPIRITS PROM 2009 was a fun filled night!  The decorations were beautiful, the food was delicious, the DJ was a rock’in, and the company was ready to make some memories!

Here is a photo of the Spirits Staff from the beginning stages of the Studio.  Babette, Shannon, Emily, Tiffany, and Paulette!  Yes we are missing a Tracey and a LeeAnn…wish they could of been there!

What is great about doing this event is seeing the faces of  the kids enjoying the evening, something they will never forget! Something I was a part of.

I hope everyone enjoyed themselves!  I would like to take a moment and Thank everyone that attended.  Your yearly support is very much appreciated.  We hope to see you again next year at our 6th annual Spirit Prom!

Spirits PHOTO SHOOT!

The Spirits Photo Shoot this last week at Read Photography went smooth!

The first group was done Monday night with Tiny & Li’l Spirits!  It went fast, the girls looked gorgeous & their smiles were contagious.  I must say the Tinys were extremely quiet…..:)

Tuesday night was the Itty-Bitty & Junior Spirits!  Huge different in age groups.  I noticed that evening the Itty-Bitty Spirits eyes that stared at the Junior Spirits in such delight!

It gives me goosebumps to see these girls in the studio grow-up.  Just knowing that the Spirits are a part of their life is a great feeling!

Which brings me to the Professional Team!  What a wonderful group of women.  The girls looked beautiful Wednesday night.  Their smiles were on even though you could feel they were nervous.  Performing in front of thousands is a powerful feeling, however when that camera is on sometimes that powerful feeling makes you almost nauseous.:)  As the night went on the girls warmed up to the camera.  They remembered it was not about the camera or the perfect shot but what they love to do.  Perform.  As the time passed you could see it in their eyes, you could hear it in their laugh.

This year was not only Jon Read taking photos in his studio of  the professional team but a camera man and a director.  I have not said much about this new journey but the Spirits have been asked to do a  film documentary.  I have to say it’s exciting, shocking, & a little scary.  I am a firm believer that people come into your life for a reason.  It has been a honor to meet Tina & Kevin.  Thank-you for so much support!  By the way Jon what you had to say about the Spirits and myself  that is now documented:) was wonderful thing to hear.  Thank you for all the years of support you have given me!

Do You Think You Have What It Takes To Be A CR SPIRIT Professional Dance Team Member?  If so, please download the 2009 Audition Application.  Fill it out completely, drop it in the mail, or bring it with you that evening of auditions.

Audition Information:

When:  Wednesday, September 16th

Time:  6:00pm

Where: CR Spirits Professional Dance Team & Studio located in Lindale Mall

Cost:  $20

Must Be A High School Graduate.

Must Be Available for Practice on Wednesday Evenings from 6:30-9:30pm.

New Instructors

Our Li’l Spirits Coach Amy Kuehl is moving to the Junior Spirits!  So we welcome a new addition to the CR Spirits Staff Kaitlin Johnson.  You see Kaitlin dancing with the Professional Team and now you will see her smile in a dance room full of girls ages 10-12.
