May Spirit Girl of the Month & Birthdays!

Our May Spirit Girl of the Month is Kady.  She is a Tiny Spirit and Crystal her coach loves having her in class!  Congratulations Kady!

The Spirit Stick gave Kady luck becuase she had a nightmare and it went away when she hugged it close to her!  What cute pictures Kady on your Spirit Girl Form.

We didn’t have that many May Birthdays but Happy Birthday to the Girls that had them!  Oh and we can’t forget Amy & Crystal Kuehl…Two coaches (Juniors & Tinys) celebrated their birthdays this month as well!

Tiffany’s Bucket List!

What were a few of the Spirit Professional Dance Team Members doing this last weekend?  Well, celebrating Tiffany Kuehl’s Birthday.  If you remember Tiffany turned 40 in February and a few of her closest friends gave her a gift.  A gift off her Bucket List.  One of her Bucket List adventures were to see the one and only, Goo Goo Dolls in concert!

Paulette Petersen, Deatra Waller, Emily Benter, Amy Kuehl, Kaitlin Boyse, and Michelle Crabbs gave her a present she will never forget.  Granted Michelle could not join the weekend festivities but she was with them all in Spirit.

The concert was in Council Bluffs, Iowa.  It took place at the Harrah’s Casino at Stir Cove.  Tiffany drove the Spirit Van!  And the 4 hour drive flew by with snacks, talking, laughing, loud music, Oh did I mention? Snacks!

They are just getting ready to go to the concert in this shot and it looks like they take a few more photos before they get to the concert!

The Spirits are looking pretty good and enjoying a night off…but really Tiffany you are still celebrating your birthday?  We have never heard of a birthday lasting almost 5 months!

Amy, Paulette, & Tiffany were right up front!

The opening act was a band called “Vedera”.  The Spirits thought they were amazing.  The lead singer was unbelievable and the drummer was pretty cute!

Paulette, Amy, and Tiffany wanted to go see if they could meet “Vedera” but knew if they moved from their spot they would not have a chance to get back up front to see “The Goo Goo Dolls”!

The girls talked about how excited Tiffany was!  She has always wanted to see The Goo Goo Dolls in concert but after seeing the show, now she wants to meet them…so it went back on her Bucket Lists!

Now they did get a lot more photos of the Goo Goo Dolls but Tiffany only gave me the ones of John, the lead singer of the band!

Tiffany and Paulette met a gentlemen named Chris Acosta.  He sold them their signed poster from the Goo Goo Dolls and it will soon be be framed and hanging in the Spirit Studio….

Deatra are you having fun?  Deatra is ready to go to back to our hotel!

Emily….Amy and Kaitlin…we are NOT going to bed yet….I heard that someone in the room stated it was a team night out!

The next day and it is time for them to come home!  But not before playing scrabble…and to wish Paulette a Happy Birthday!  That is right Paulette’s birthday was this weekend as well!  Hope you had a great one!

The concert was at Harrah’s Casino but the Spirits stayed at Horseshoe Casino!  They enjoyed their stay!

Getting ready for the drive back…the girls had to stop to eat…Do you know this restaurant?  They were queens for breakfast!

Now where are they stopping…Jordan Creek Mall.  It is the half way mark before they get home.  Tiffany also asked if they could plant a tree to put a little Spirit in Des Moines…So they did!

Before they could leave they had to stop, get ice cream at Cold Stone, and have them sing “Happy Birthday” to Paulette!

Spirits Photo Shoot

We are getting ready for the 2010 Spirit Posters/Calendars!

The Professional Dance Team had their 2010 Photo Shoot at Read Photography on Friday, April 30th.  The Spirit Studio had their shots done a couple of weeks prior.  Jon Read has always been a supportive sponsor of the CR Spirits.  Tiffany met Jon back when she was a Silver Bullet CBA Cheerleader.  A business relationship that turned into a wonderful friendship has kept these two still working together.  Tiffany can’t thank Jon enough for his time and his patients through all the different photos that the girls take.

It was a long night but the music, atmosphere, and company was a memory the Spirits will never forget.

It was a great night, we were missing one Professional Dance Team Member…Danica Packingham…she was out of town and was missed by everyone!

Well…You will have to wait and see when the 2010 Posters/Calendars Come Out…but here is a clue.  What is Jes Harrington doing in the photo below?  What was Tiffany thinking for the new season….Bet you can’t wait to see!
